2010 Ford Mustang hood revealed

The 2010 Mustang is going to eat alive the 2010 Camaro.

GM laid their cards out on the table way too soon.

Plus, Ford has really been putting out some interesting designs lately - now, more than the last 30 years.

I'm looking forward to the reveal.

maybe sales wise....but the Camaro is a much more technically sophisticated car than the old school Mustang.....the mustang seems ancient by comparison....the Camaro as it sounds from specs, and technology appears to be a class above the Mustang

It is stupid & idiotic, but this is Autospies, 90% of the stuff on here is stupid & idiotic & nobody does anything, so why pretend it's something else.

And please point out where you proved me wrong, you never really responded. All you did was post wiki saying the B5 A4 was built on a VW group chassis. Well everyone knows the Passat shared it with the A4, but it came out 2 years earlier on the A4, used the tradition audi engine/trans layout, & used a similar platform on the updated B6 & B7. The Passat used an Audi platform for 1 generation & went back to a traditional transverse engine/trans layout in its B6. Why can't you accept that?

Again I may be childish for this post but it's pretty childish to pretend you are and un-biased, mature poster & just post anti-Audi garbage all the time.

Why would they offer a V8 if the ecoboost offers just as much power?

LakerFan, I'd rather have a 5.0 than a V6. I don't car the V6 gives me the same power, doesn't sound as mean, and it just doesnt sound right ....

It's not only power that's important, but also low end torque...this is not only the number of cylinders but also displacement....V6s of 3.2 liters and higher have good low end torque (i.e. Nissan 3.5L), but for V8s it takes about 5.2 liters or higher....the standard Mustang 4.6L V8 is shy in low end torque....also long stroking engines have more torque than short stroking engines.....
...all that being said right now I'd rather have a V8 right now too....but let's face it--with the new fuel economy regulations V8 engines' days in cars are probably numbered....V6s offer less weight and better handling..it's good that Ford is starting to offer V6 with comparable power...it will probably still take a few years work to get them up to be equivalent to V8s but at least it won't be 1974 all over again when all performance engines disappeared and going 0 to 60 in less than 10 seconds was considered fast (Honda Accords (V6) today do that in 7)....
