Talking points for Toyota executives over the past year have kept a heavy emphasis on plans to offer every vehicle in the lineup as a hybrid, with the most recent promises highlighting the emissions savings already achieved by the Prius and other hybrids.

Now reports of Toyota’s upcoming tiny city car, the iQ, also being potentially offered as a hybrid.

I wonder how hard it was to take a look at the Smart car and change up the front end and interior a little and call it their own. I would rather have two more spacious front seats than 2 + 2. On the safety end any large vehicle hits you, you're expected to enter the ER.

Looks alot more like a Scion xD than a Smart car.

Maybe this will actually achieve decent mileage for being such a ridiculously small car. Should be at least 60mpg.

I read in Edmunds' First drive test of IQ that it is expected to earn a perfect 5 star rating in European safety tests and such a tiny car got some 11 airbags so i think it's quite safe atleast the best in it's class.
and this looks nothing like smart, Smart fortwo is crap
and way overprice. This is the best yet micro car where latest room saving techniques used and features never heard of in such small car.
