2010 Chevrolet Camaro orders start next month
Earlier this morning we saw the first official image of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS. The image wasn’t accompanied by any press release but Terry Rhadigan, a Chevy spokesman, told InsideLine some interesting tidbits earlier today.

Rhadigan said that the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro V6 and the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS will both be available to order starting October. That’s a bit early considering production won’t start until mid-February of next year and deliveries won’t begin until mid-March. Rhadhigan said that interested buyers may have to put down a depoist to get in line for the Camaro but that is totally up to the dealers.

The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro V6 is powered by a 3.6 liter V6 unit producing 300-hp and returning an estimated 26mpg. Rhadigan says that the 422-hp Camaro SS will return an estimated...

Probably the best of the retro "muscle cars".

Most likely best MPG per capita in class as well.

NICE! Wish they went the GT-R route and replaced the V8 with a SS/Turbo V6. The base V6 has 300BHP which is great!

I just always wanted an IRS Camaro after owning a bunch of them over the years. The old Camaro's were not great cars, but the new one looks to be more refined and it has an IRS. I will wait to get one until I drive the V-6 and comapre it to the 8 to see which one meets my daily driving needs? More power with gas prices the way they are now, might not be the best idea anymore, so we'll see? Beautiful car though.

Because of current gas prices, V8 engines are going the way of the dinosaurs. I'm grabbing my SS V8 before the Muscle cars are powered by batteries.

YAWN. And why does it seem for every year GM DELAYS the release of this old beast the idiot design managers seem to chop another INCH off the concept's hood?

nice try racedog this thing looks 10 times better than a F.O.R.D(Found On Road Dead)RUSTANG. the lines on this car are so sleek and GM held true to a modernized 69 camaro look. I would like to see what this thing can do modded out with chips, exhaust, cold air...pretty much the works.

as in the 60's this car will redefine what a modern muscle car should be NOT what it used to be........
