Mercedes GL Class facelift spied almost undisguised

The Mercedes GL Class first hit the market in 2006 and going by the Mercedes normal vehicle lifecyle of around six years, we should be seeing a mid-life pep up some time next year. This pep up has now been spotted almost undisguised by our spies earlier this week.

The rear lights looks to be much more upright. And I hope those are LEDs in the foglight area.

It's sad to see how Worldcarfans has degenerated into another fanboy hideout. I mean look at this:

"Want a real SUV, get an X5, want something outstanding and big with presence, get an X6, these rubbish Mercedes are just so boring - to look at, to drive and to live with. That's why you don't see many of them"

What a moron. The GL might not be as sporty as the X5 or X6 but it certainly isn't a bad handler, especially for its size and weight. I've driven the GL320 CDI twice and found it to be more than competent in this aspect. Furthermore, the X5 and X6 will be stuck in the mud offroad while the GL will soldier on.

I especially enjoyed the comments about the GL being a "large minivan". Those idiots there really have no clue.

At first I thought the GL was awkward looking and didn't have much appeal. However after seeing more on the road it detached itself from being a larger ML type SUV but transformed into one in its own. It's luxurious, spacious, and very comfortable.
