i'd rather a mercielago to any other car but does that mean i'm going to post that on a tread about a bmw? NO! bottom line, what's your point?

my point is its the same car just with a V8 in it...now my other point is id rather buy a drop top gallardo not a knock off gallardo......and you not going to tell me if the keys was on the table you would take the R8 over a gallardo

I would too but they did a good job differentiating the cars, plus isn't the gallardo about $50k more at MSRP? I know the Audi is gets marked up a lot but you can find one near MSRP.

I spent time at an Audi/Lambo dealer and saw dozens of gallardos, we've had a few R8's at my new dealer and they seem to appeal to different buyers (the R8 doesn't come in florecent colors for one.)

love audi products unfortuantly dealing with them has completely turned me off to them. 6 month wait paying msrp or above becuse of false demand and being underpowered for the price they are getting (talking s5 on that part). Audi is pushing american customers away imo.

False demand???
Let's see... the A5/ S5 are pretty much sold out all over the world, the $ is worthless compared to the Euro, so production is limited for the States and stays in Europe where Audi makes money.
I don't really see the problem with that reasoning.
At this time the A5 and S5 have incredible resale value.
I have a client that sold his A5 of 8 months for what he paid for it....
