Volkswagen Golf Collectors Edition Unveiled

Volkswagen Golf Collectors Edition Unveiled
The 2009 Volkswagen Golf will be available in three trim-levels including Trendline, Comfortline and Highline. Another unofficial version debuted today called the ‘Collectors Edition.’ According to Volkswagen, The Collectors Edition is a prototype that hints at what could be the ‘most exclusive Golf in the history of the model.’

What’s so exclusive about it? The exterior comes in a very dark high-gloss polish Moonlight blue pearl color, a body-colored grille and 18-inch Vancouver alloy wheels. Inside, designers used natural leather with a refined brown tone called IOWA. They also added accents strips and surrounds to the air vents in high-gloss piano lacquer.

Volkswagen has not confirmed if it will offer the Collectors Edition but we wouldn’t doubt it.

Hmmm. I love that Moonlight Blue color.

I'll reserve judgement on the "Iowa" leather until I see it "in the hide".

There are a ton of Audi's and VW's in the northeast. Can't drive anywhere without seeing a bunch. It would be interesting to see the regional breakdown for all cars.

That moron Michael Taylor would quote you and say some stupid crap like:

"Oh, VW's break down in all regions!"

LOL

The Golf around here has always kinda been noted as a car for more earthly, hippie types. Or liberals, or people who love to ski and board but for some reason won't buy a Subaru with AWD instead.

Not sure why they would think making a collector version of a small car will be worthwhile. I seriously doubt it will present any usefulness to the typical Golf driver, nor will it appeal to collectors in general.

They already have a collector anyways, the first gen R32 brought to the states, it was not as fast as an STi or Evo, but man it sounded nice and looked great!
