German customer takes delivery of 2009 BMW 3 Series Wagon Facelift
Our dear dear reader proXi has just sent an email to inform us that he will be taking delivery today of its long-awaited 2009 BMW 3 Series Wagon, of course, the new facelift model. The car in discussion is the 320xd E91, in a beautiful Alpine White color.

Just a few days ago, proXi was the first person to spot the 2009 BMW 3 Series LCIs arriving at the german dealerships and now, from what we know, he might be the first one to take delivery of a facelift 3 Series.

We should be back later on with a more detailed report from proXi, including a video demo of the new iDrive Navigation System.

Lucky germans, always get the goodies first

I have to say I never liked the 3 series wagon but this new is the first that caught my attention it definetly has potential. I would like to see a M Version of it

Again, could we get the 3 basic shots of the vehicle (front, side and rear), so we could see what the f*@kin thing looks like?
TIA.

Whoever's taking these new E90,E91 photos should be shot.

Worst picture angles ever!

A nice-looking wagon. As a matter of fact, I am buying the new Audi A4 Avant with the 3.0 TDI diesel engine. (Assuming the Avant is available with the diesel engine.) I prefer the looks of the wagon to the sedan, I get slightly more headromm, and I get a lot more cargo space.

Hmmm. Even though only 10% of all A4s sold in the U.S. are wagons, 50-80% of A4 sales throughout Europe (depending on the country) are wagons. Cadillac will be introducing a sport wagon version of the CTS in 2010. Perhaps the U.S. will catch on to what the Europeans have long known.

Yeah, yeah, I know Americans currently prefer SUVs to station wagons, but that fad is being killed off by high fuel prices. Most people who buy SUVs don't need them. I'd take a smaller, more efficient, more sporty wagon to a huge, gas-guzzling SUV any day.

Sorry, no A4 Avant Diesel for the U.S of A. Only 2.0T petrol will be in the avant for us. 60% chance it will come in the sedan though.

Are you sure about that, EvoAudi? My Audi salesman said that the diesels will debut in the U.S. in January, and he had not heard anything about it being available only in the sedan. He said he should know the prices by November.

Double checked, 3.0 Diesel is a go for the sedan, Avant has still not proven to be cost, efficient enough.

Dash trim looks like it got the faux-carbon fiber treatment.

It really looks great. If the 335d was available with xDrive here it would be perfection. I'll look at the 335xi sedan and A4 3.0TDI, then...

S4cabrio,

Have you heard anything to the effect that the Audi A4 3.0 TDI will not be available in the Avant in the U.S.? Or is it still up in the air?

It won't be, Audi is cutting back on wagons here. The only A4 Avant offering will be the 2.0T quattro. The only A6 Avant offering will be the new 3.0S quattro.

In any case I would still be more than happy to have an A4 3.0TDI sedan.
