And the World’s Best Supercar Is…
After the 430, the Lamborghini almost felt like a normal car, even during the somewhat crazed journey from the photographic location on the coast to our hotel in Saint Omer. Certainly it felt bigger and less incisive than the Ferrari, more comfortable for sure but also not as sharp in its steering or brakes.

Yet at the same time the Lambo seemed instantly less frantic than the 430, in spite of its thundering engine note and huge mid-range pickup. That’s something you can’t help but notice when swapping between the two; the Lambo has much more low-down muscle, even if it can’t quite match the Ferrari over the final 2000rpm. But the key thing is how much more relaxed and civilized it feels as a road car.

My choices, based on personal preference, would be:
1) 430 Scuderia: Absolutely beautiful, the engine makes the best sound ever, and you can't top Ferrari's racing pedigree.
2) GT2: Driving this car would probably scare the hell out of me, but talk about German engineering to the max. Plus the 911 is so timeless and classic. And it has that huge rear wing too.
3) Gallardo: It looks fantastic, but I've never been the biggest Lambo fan. Too flashy and (slightly) garish for me.

There is no debate on this topic. 430 Scuderia and then everything else a distant second.

The Scud is the best car in the world, hands down. There are cars that do somethings better, but nothing that has the balance of quickness, speed, handeling, and viceral excitement. Its faster than an Enzo around Ferrari's own track! Ridiculous. But I'd go 430/Lambo/GT2.

1)F430- u all know why
2)LP560-4 - looks exotic, performs great
3)GT2-I'm not gonna spend another 100k so it still looks like a 911 turbo.

So you're more concerned about how you look than how it functions? You talk down as if the 911 Turbo is nothing but it's in the same league as those. Porsche just doesn't have the flamboyant looks and radical designs like a Lamborghini or Ferrari but it still demands respect.

Yes hao420, a car that is still in prototype form (that has yet to be tested by anyone other than Toyota engineers and test drivers) and may never see the light of day is the world's best supercar.

These Lexus fans seem to ruin every article posted on this site sadly.

GT-R hands down... costs half/third of the above three, equivalent performance, seats 4, has a usable trunk, best gearbox and screams you're a car enthusiast not a badge whore.

GT-R is a really good sport car for sure, and the performance and handling are already better than most of these super cars in the world.

but i think what GT-R really need is not the Pure speed and control, but the Personality and style. Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini, all these cars are not only really quick performance cars any more, there seems are another level of meaning above the speed.

so i think to be the BEST supercar, GT-R has a long way to go.

GT-R is a great car, but at 3,800lbs, it needs to go on a major diet before it will get the crown of "World's Best Supercar."

Uhmm! I thought a supercar was one that can hit at least 200MPH?!?...How does that make the GT-R a supercar? Anything else is just an exotic or high performance GT.

Sorry -- the GT-R has become a badge whore-mobile to me. In the same way people deride Bimmer lovers as badge whores (and I'm not denying they don't exist), GT-R badge whores always throw the Nissan into any discussion involving uber-Porsches, Corvette ZR-1s, R8s, Scuderias or any other $100K+ performance car. Look, I get that the car has amazing stats -- cool. But really, the GT-R is not aimed at the same people the other cars I mentioned are. The GT-R is aimed at young guys who make a killing on eBay or by selling a website and all of a sudden find themselves with a pile of cash. The same people who buy the top performance Porsches, Corvettes and the like are not looking at the GT-R.

So, GT-R badge whores, stop trying to insert that car into any discussion involving other cars that are not aimed at Nissan's target market. Thanks.

Totally agree. Is it true that the GTR changes modes when you're on a race track vs. regular road.

None of these are supercars. They are exotic cars. Some more so than others. They are different answers to the same qeustion. Anyhoo, the answer to the question is: Ferrari F430 Scuderia - hands down.

honestly, i'd take the lamborghini, not because i think that it will out do the scuderia but because it matches my personality better than the other 2. just like anyone else, i like what i like. my pick would be lp 560-4, scuderia then the gt2.

I would take the GT2 then the LP then the scuderia....because I like porsche's and I am a huge fan of the prosche 911 turbo that car is a beast an will hang with most late model exotic sports cars today. thats why I would take the GT2
