Audi A5 Series Getting Even SEXIER! Audi RS5 To Debut At 2009 Detroit Auto Show
Audi fans will be in for a special treat come the 2009 Detroit Motor Show when the RS5 goes live to the public for the first time, many months after spy photos and renderings have long been doing the rounds.

The RS4 will join the RS5 on US dealer floors in the not too distant future. Also the probability of the TT RS playing a supporting role is high, given the pocket rocket roadster’s relatively lower proposed CO2 emissions.

which is a lot, sure, but in the same ballpark as an M3 Coupe or 911 Carrera, so its reasonable. In my opinion the car Audi is overpricing is the TT-RS, which it was reported yesterday they are also going to charge in the $70's for. Now that's crazy.

I agree. It's a shame. If this was priced in the low 60s it would clean up. It would be hard to justify paying mid 70s for this when you can get the updated 911 for the same money.

And yet the S5 is sold out....
The S5 is in the upper $50k to low $60k.
Seeing that the RS4/5 will be in limited production as all RS models, it is priced right.
It will do EXTREMELY well compared to it's competition..
Get ready.
As for the TT-RS, that car will be extremely fast... watch for it.

I didn't see this--was it US pricing or European pricing? If it was Euro you can expect that to go down by at least $20K.

If you consider the BMW M3 to be a sexy car, which it is, but not the Audi S5, which is even sexier, than you have serious problems.

Not even close to the truth. I am getting sick of Audi's samey interior designs, I hate the 3.2L engine and I would never buy an A6 nor a Q7. However, I do have a sense of reality--and it's pretty obvious that the A5/S5 is a stunningly beautiful car. Have you ever even seen one on the road? It's amazing.
