2010 Mercedes-Benz Gullwing - More Details

Mercedes-Benz upcoming new supercar is rumoured to be the first car from the brand to wear an AMG badge in place of a Mercedes-Benz badge when goes on sale in 18 months time after being unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

Now UK magazine AutoExpress are saying that production will run for a very short two years and only 12,000 units will ever be manufactured to keep the cars exclusivity intact...

Looks a lot like the original Mercedes 300SL gullwing from the 1950s. Intriguing car.

I don't see why they should build both this car and the SL. Why don't they make THIS car the new SL?

this car will be the ultimate competitor I love the rendering and I love the gullwing coupe from the 50's not only are they worth as much as a Rolls Drophead coupe but that car was way ahead of its time when it came out and being that this Gullwing will only be an ///AMG ONLY car I think this car will not fall short of spectacular at least I hope so

I saw Alfa right away - this rendering looks awesome. Softer edges that will stand the test of time much better than the oragami-like SL that was just released.

Sure, the photo looks great, but in reality the length of the front section ahead of the cowl (windshild forward) is too damned long. Maybe not as bad as the SLR but still too lengthy.
