2009 VW Golf GTI revealed

Volkswagen will be revealing the next-generation version of the Golf GTI, one of the most acclaimed hot hatches on the market, at next week’s Paris Motor Show but some images of the car have already leaked online.

As expected, its styling remains similar to the previous model and is differentiated mostly by a new front bumper design.

The new GTI is a damned gorgeous car.

I love it.

However, like Jonathan says, the dealerships might have a little to brush up on.

In addition, some of the improvements seem to be have been sourced (as far as the exterior goes) from the W12 GTI. Wheels and the premise of the front fascia are from the W12 GTI.

As an ex-GTI owner, I'd have to say that VW has a lot to fix with its "we-put-customers-last" dealerships but the cars are still better than dried up dog poo.

I would also love to see Toyota invest this much in design and aesthetics into their cars.

i like it... from pics it doesn't look too far of a departure from the current model, but I'm sure in person the differences won't be as subtle. nice car, nice engine. test drove the 06 GTi and almost got one... can't wait for this to come out because it'll be right around the time I'll be looking to replace my car. :)

More slanted headlights. Are they actually going to finally offer the Revolver syle wheels. I have seen them before but never in production.

Also we all know the best GTI was not even a GTI, for me it was the first R32 offered in the states. It was subtle, sleek, powerful, maybe not up to STi or Evo speeds, but it looked better.

The MK5 R32 is also a looker, especially in the blue launch color. It was sitting on the lots for awhile (you could've gotten a discount a month ago) but they are going to sell out soon.

Bring the Scirroco to the US. Let the GTI be a 4dr only
