The first photo of a fully undisguised 2010 Mercedes E-Class
In terms of power, Mercedes will offer four variants of their new OM651 diesel powerplant ranging from 136 hp in the E 200 CDI to 204 hp in the E 250 CDI, with a pair of additional BlueTEC diesel variants as well. For those of you favor a gasoline powerplant, five petrol engines ranging from 184 hp to 388 hp are also planned, while topping off the range will be an AMG-variant outputting around 550 hp. And last but certainly not least, a hybrid variant utilizing the lithium-ion battery technology already found on the S 400 BlueHYBRID is likely in the works as well, with reports placing its debut sometime in the 2010 calendar year.

And plus the CTS still wipes the floor in terms of design.

Lack of taste? Stop acting like a Cadillac cheerleader and bring that redneck car in every post about the almighty Mercedes. Maybe you mean only people who wipe floors for a leaving would buy that CTS abomination.

"Stop acting like a Cadillac cheerleader and bring that redneck car in every post about the almighty Mercedes."

Its no joke that you make mercedes-benz and their owners look so bad with that bashing. I actually have taste, and its not something inspired by lexus or hyundai.

I tend to agree. Everything about this photo screams photoshop. It's far away, fuzzy and not very polished. if MB wanted to leak some pictures, they would leak some of those that they pay a photographer $10K a day to take, not a fuzzy internet resolution picture.

Pretty sure I saw the new E on the highway yesterday going home. (North I-5, Encinitas area of So. California)

Was covered in some camo, but body was like the new C, just bigger.

Dude was flying in the fast lane, and I was too slow with the camera phone.

Looks like a big C class...IMO, it"s about the same evolution as Lexus with GS...from round to more squared(w/ the body and headlights). Not saying it looks like GS (which is not a pretty car)

If this is actually a real pic, it's a terrible angle. I'll reserve once I see front and back shots

That strip down the side kind of ruins it. It looks off. But yea, its not like its made a big step in terms of design from any previous Merc. I would def have to say that the new Cadillac's and Jags are leading the way in terms of design. They're bold and their different. I'm sure this will be a heck of a car in terms of driving in refined comfort, but if we're just talking body style... I'll pass.
