Paris Motor Show Quick Pics: Lexus IS250C Caught Live

Feast your eyes on Lexus' stunning IS250C hardtop convertible.  001 caught this at the debut this morning in Paris and if you ask even me, I would have to say this is a stunner!

Destine for US shores hopefully sometime next year, and hopefully followed by an IS350 variant. WOW!

reminds me too much of a solara. The rear end it too high also...

Agreed. I'm not a fan of the wedge shape - whether it's the Solara or the MB "B" class wagon.

Not stunning to me at all. The 3/4 rear looks too thick and the wheel well looks quite small in relation to that.

The car itself is beginning to look outdated since it's been out for a few years now.

Beautiful from every angle, makes the oddly proportioned 1 and 3series look like an eyesore.

C'mon guys how many years has BMW & Merc had to perfect the 3 & C?

This is only its 2nd gen. and already we have an M3 competitor & a convt.

"already we have an M3 competitor & a convt."

Do you work for Lexus or just consider yourself part of the team due to your fanboy status?

Not 2 sound like a Cadillac fanboy (ha! has anyone been called that yet?) but look how far ahead the first gen CTS is from the current one. Coupe AND wagon on the way and STILL looks promising... This is a let down for Lexus. They should have took a page out of Cadillac's book and not wasted the time with this, for this model year...

"C'mon guys how many years has BMW & Merc had to perfect the 3 & C?"

Funny, I've never seen that excuse used for a Lexus before.

Maybe it's because they usually put out attractive vehicles. They may not be fun to drive but they're usually good-looking.

Yes is true is very easy buy a car and then copy all that you see is fast and not to much brain to do that. PIG WITH A LIPSTICK IS STILL A PIG this is the reality. People who really know about cars know wich car they have to choose and buy. People who doesn't take this option. Just like that.

agree it looks stunning, nice touches to an already beautiful and sleek design, my favourite chnage is black lining in the tailights like LX570. way btter looking than it's competiotrs.

I love the design of the IS sedan & ISF this convrt. does look a little awkward though.

I think you know exactly what they mean, Huu. Check out the horribly proportioned rear end. It's way higher than the rest of the body. Just like the Solara. The only other hard top convertible exhibiting this phenomenon is the Pontiac G6, so you can't use that excuse. The 3 Series, EOS and C70 are far more streamlined.

Man oh man! I promised myself I will not come back to this stupid site, but this is just too tempting.
Yep, nice Toyota Corola mixed with a bit of Toyota solara, with a bit of Volvo in it. Is it just me or the dashboard looks like it is made out of black concrete... ;-)

I just went out in my garage to confirm that I own the same car, an IS350, but with a roof and 4 doors. The pleasing lines of IS series have been lost in something between an SC430 and the late,(thank goodness), Toyota Solara. No mention about what tires will come with this car. I'll venture that standard equipment will be Bridgestone run-flats to save trunk space, (to the tune of 15K-20K mile treadwear and $2000 per set replacement cost). Lastly: "generous rear seat access and spacious rear passenger accommodation." LOL, looks just like the "back seat" in the SC we owned prior to the IS350.

When will toyota get it. This company will never design a truly good looking car. This thing here is nothing more than an is sedan, with longer doors and the roof chopped off. It's like they didn't even TRY; they're SO desperate to match BMW model for model that they through this nonsense together. Truly sad.

They've definitely screwed up the tail lights, and made the read very fat. It makes the coupe/convertible dull when its sedan version is stunning.

So my verdict becomes, the G37 coupe/convertible will be the king AND the queen of all coupes/convertibles.
