PARIS MOTOR SHOW QUICK PICS: These Are The Wheels To Get When You Order Your New 7 Series

001 told me about them and I didn't believe him, until now.  But I have to say these optional wheels on the New 7 Series have to be the best I have seen in quite sometime.

These ultra cool wheels actually have an aerodynamic surface that pulls the air through them to coll the brakes.  Just the ticket for those back road excursions at high speed.  So when checking off the options for that new 7 Series these are a must have!

meh.. a little chunky.

I don't care about chunky but I am concerned about curb damage when parking as the spokes are not protected by the tires. Also, where are the protective side moldings to prevent lo-fifes from dinging your doors in parking lots?

I wonder how well this new F01/F02 7-series BMW will ride on streets where the pavement is less then perfect or not smooth on these big diameter and wide section rims and low profile tires.

I would love to see deep dish cross spoke rim on this new 7er like the Sport Package rims from the 1998 thru 2000 BMW E39 528i instead of 17" be in 19".

that is a hot set of wheels looks like the old 760 optional 21 inch wheels but they are curved in which draws the cool air to the brakes. But I do agree I would like to see bimmer take this wheel and make it a deep dish wheel that would set the new 7 series off.

They look nice, I prefer them over wheels with 100 spokes (the 7 has something like that) although the design for them to pull air and cool the brakes is nothing new.

I like these wheels for what they do but I have never liked 5-spoke design wheels on a large car. A design that is more intricate better suits a larger car...

now no one would scream like hell that bmw copied lamborghini, cuz the air intaking concept to cool the brakes was first revealed by lamborghini in the reventon cocept

These "21's" are nice but the car looks a little high. They are really made for the F01 with the Sport Package.........

but they should adopt technology to make them heat less rather than going for an alternative way

Agreed. An explanation to my comment above...

All wheels have the function of moving air past the brakes. That's why even steel wheels with hubcaps have ventilation.
They are good looking wheels though.

Looks like it was designed by a 3 year old. Bangle's son perhaps?

Bland... especially for BMW, a company with a history of releasing innovative and aggressive looking wheels.

Um, that is hot as hell! Love those rims. I'm digging the new 7 now, but when I saw with those fatty 5 spokers, it just sealed it. I want one. Are you saying they will be standard sport package rims? I noticed the best Bimmer rims nowadays are like 4k options, like the 21inchers on the X5 or the Style 199 for the 3er (you can see them on the 335d in the Paris gallery).

I got to say I really like the new 7 series. Welcome back baby. If I had the money, I would buy an LS460L and this new 750iL. I love those two bad machines.

I think you mean they are supposed to "cool" the brakes, not "coll" them.

I like the preview 7 series rear part and the new one also, in this new 7 series I don't like the angle of the front grille is at 90 grade and prefer something with more tilt like a 12 or maybe 15 grade when you see the front lateral view of this new car. Are anyone agree with me in this detail???
