Audi reconsidering A1 for the U.S. market

It only took three months for Audi to realize that the upcoming Audi A1 may do well in the U.S. market. Back in early July, Audi’s boss Rupert Stadler said that American still want big cars, but big cars that are more fuel-efficient so there will be no A1 for the U.S. Then with the rest of us, he saw pickups, SUVs, large-sedans segment sales drop. Well, it may be time to reconsider.

What I find interesting is that VW group has been selling cars in the US for some time. How can they not know what the buying trends are. Don't they bother to look at the sales records for Mini? Well it least someone was able to wisper this in their ear and perhaps they were listening finally.

Why don't they make it easier? Make this A1 the next A3 since their basic body shapes are the same. Canada and America doesn't need another low-end Audi in the showrooms. The A3 should be the bare minimum.

They shouldn't follow MB with the B-Class, it's for those people who can't afford a real Mercedes. The C is the entry level and that is where it begins, nothing lower.
