Toyota iQ to get 1.4L diesel and stop/start technology
Toyota is already taking orders for its new iQ minicar with deliveries to begin as early as January 2009. At launch, the iQ will be offered with a 1.0L VVT-i petrol engine that produces 67-hp and a peak torque of 67 lb-ft. Mated to either a 5-speed manual or Toyota’s new Multidrive CVT system, the iQ is capable of returning a fuel-economy of 55 mpg.
