As I mentioned in another post, it's very sad when someone takes pleasure in the misfortunes of someone else. You gotta know that TurboSpyder is chuckling with an evil grin on his face right now.

Isn't that what we all think? Reality check for you, based on your past posts I find that hard to believe. You may think that your one of the good guys but to most of us you are on of the "good ol' boys" if you know what I mean.

Funny how "some" fanboys jump on sales, value, or reliability as the reason they are better. And as soon as that benchmark is eclipsed by a competitor they immediately say "that doesn't mean anything".

No worries, Toyota will realign themselves to get back on track with less gas guzzlers and more sensible offerings. This is like getting the news that Billy Gates lost a few million at the poker table.

No need to defend your cheap love for the cheap Asian brands to me.

Lexus, Infiniti, and Acura have been trying to duplicate the German Premium brands since they started up in the late 80's and early 90's.

Every one of the models in their lineup have been a response to a German model.

No need to lease a near luxury German make when I own a 2008 BMW 335i Coupe.. Notice I stress the word "OWN" not lease.

But, then again if I wanted to get a really cheap interest rate on an economy, luxury wannabe brand I could always head to any Toyota dealership and find one at ZERO percent interest..

When someone mentions Cadillac I think fleetwood BOAT. Being Market Value King is no where near GM's sights right now. Boring, Uninspiring and Unreliable is why GM is where they're at today.

The only reason that Toyota may be king of profit is because of all the cost cutting measures in materials used when producing cars.

Asian brands when compared to German brands lack any substance and the materials are always subpar to the Germans.

Huu, is it you that is always saying that Lexus sells more cars in the USA than BMW??

Here are so more facts for you to digest:

The BMW Group in the US reported September sales of 18,506 vehicles, a decrease of 25.8 percent over the 24,932 vehicles sold in September 2007.

Now if my math is correct that means that BMW sold 9,076 more cars than Lexus did in the month of September.

Wow! I've never seen so many off-topic postings on this site, ever.

Toyota is suffering an SUV hangover. They drove the SUV craze with the most models of any manufacturer for a while, and that's where most of their cash reserves come from.

Now everything is due for a correction. Fortunately for VW, the Touareg never did sell well, so a drop in that model's sales has virtually no effect on the big picture. However, having a product line comprised almost entirely of practical and efficient cars that are (mostly) fun to drive puts them in good stead. Even if it is more by luck than planning.

PS: Toyota will quickly adjust its product mix and flood the US market with micro-cars and scoop market share. While VW, who already have excellent micro-cars, will not bring anything to North America and miss yet another opportunity.

I think VW has better technology, but Toyota is better at business, even if they screwed up big-time this once.
