No mid-engine for Corvette C7, V6 considered

I hope not. Does GM even sell enough of these to put that big of a dent in their milage figures? Come on now, if you're gonna make a sports/super car do it right. Stick w/ what y'all are doing, it's working just fine.

That V6 won't be lighter than the LS3. All that extra stuff adds weight and truth be told the LSx series is extremely light per hp output in aluminum block form (less than 450 lbs fully dressed IIRC).

Corvettes already get fairly reasonable gas mileage don't they? Add cylinder deactivation and I doubt that the vett would have much of any negative impact on their average.
