Aston's Lagonda brand will build a Mercedes S-Class rival
Aston Martin’s newly revived Lagonda brand will come to the market next year with a concept version of their first vehicle that will enter production by 2012. That’s basically all the information we have from Aston Martin on what’s in store for Lagonda.

seems like rapide and logonda sedan relationship will be something like A8 and Phaeton.
if that's the case, not very intelligent. People will always go for the Aston Martin name/badge, compare to the awkward amd lesser known Lagonda.

Where did I hear about Mercedes and Aston Martin working together? ...and Maybach getting some help.

I hope Aston handles this better than Mercedes did with Maybach..Aston is a strong brand right now and the last thing they need is to detract from the growth with another brand. Also, is there really enough room in this uber high end sedan segment for all of the existing and rumored cars from Rolls Royce, Maybach, Lagonda, Bentley, Lambo, and Bugatti? They must all be very confident about the future of the economy.
