Acura says its NSX will be faster than the GTR

Honda is pulling out all the stops for its replacement for the Acura NSX supercar, confirming it will be powered by a new V10 engine and boasting that it will be faster than Nissan’s GT-R.

Expected to be sold exclusively under the Acura brand, the new model is scheduled to arrive in 2010 for the 2011 model year and availability is expected to be scarce.

Yeah, and it will cost way more than the GT-R for similar performance and will get destroyed by the GT-R V-Spec!!

Congrats Acura on making a 10-cylinder vehicle that beats a V6. You guys are good!

ooh, ooh, me too, me too, me too.

Acura, and I own one, has lost its way.
They need to return back to the original formula
of classy designs, not stylistic shock and awe.

Maybe a halo car will breath some much needed life into Acura, the TL seems like a dynamic performing although homely looking car

I say that my supercar, coming out in 2047, will have 25,000hp and will lap the Nürburgring in under three minutes. It will only cost $18,042,006.

Can't ignore that V10 that's under the hood of that NSX. It sounds 10 times nicer than the GT-R nice even if it doesn't run faster than the GT-R.

You probable never heard the GTR with an aftermarket exhaust.

Doesn't matter. The NSX will still sound better. Nothing can beat the growl of a V10.

Acura better improve on their NSX design though. If it claims to beat the GT-R, than its looks got to be dangerous too...I mean just by looking at it...it looks like one of those spoiled High School kids that got one, bought by "Mommy". the design is to "innocent" looking.

It's not like the GTR is pretty.
The GTR is like a spandex.... It makes any a$$ look good.

Depending on the looks of this new NSX I may scrap my plans for my V10 R8. My last NSX,(although abit under powered) was a great performer. Seems like they got the power issue resolved though.

V10 to beat a V6 Turbo, even worse than a vette who is trying to use V8.I use to thik tat Honda they use to be the best car from Japan but 6 years back I had to start changing my mind looking at Nissan big improvements. The only thing with honda is they have great reliability, better than toyota.Toyota is a hoax buy loyalists. If you still think Honda and Toyota is topping Nissan ,you are only fooling yourselves, look at the new nissan verus their rivals,Nissan cars has more power and sometimes less hp and they are much faster and more efficient and sometimes look better, donot belief, check the tiida and yaris 1.5 cc, altima verus accord and camry, nissan navara 2.5 turbo diesel vs the toyota 2.5 hilux turbo diesel, yea they have a few problems but toyota has problems too that there is a strong possibilty that is has not reported by toyota loyalists, and could be hidden too,and recently have to recalling cars made in 2006.Checking even the lastest JD power even suggested that the out come for Toya could be toyota loyalist.Go GTR GO!!!!!!!
