The QP looks much better, but I'd still take the P-car. The Masi is way underpowered, but then again the Panamera is going to cost more than a QP.

No the Maserati looks much better. This is a very confusing looking car, especially in the back. I think they screwed up a bit by trying to keep too much of the traditional Porsche design language in the rear. It just doesn't fit to me. Funny, I didn't think they should've done the SUV either but even that looks much better than this.

I think Porsche is grossly overestimating the number of "I gotta have it because it's different or it's a Porsche" customers. Its nice to standout at times but I would be much happier to be lost in the crowd as one of the many Audi S8's, AMG S63, or even the new 7 series than this Porsche not to mention Maserati, Aston Martin, Lamborghini

Because they won't be based off each other. Porsche is platform sharing with the VW Group on a few select products, but as far as I know this one won't have a platform mate. I think if there was another variant it would've been announced by now, because Porsche has been developing the Panamera for so long.

The fact that Lambo came out with the Estoque concept is just a coincidence. That car might be based on the upcoming Audi A7 (CLS competitor).

Damn shame Porsche is going to screw up a perfectly good idea. The Panamera is too big (S CLass sized) when it should have been E CLass sized. It should have a proper trunk not a hatchback and it would have been okay to not have a 911 rear end since it doesn't have the rear engine. They really should have squared off the rear end and made it a nice sedan.

Such a shame. The Porsche badge will help it sell to 911 owners who need proper back seats, but this thing has been beaten badly with the ugly stick. I'm a Porsche fan, but would probably buy the CLS AMG before buying this if I were in the market for a 'sensible' car.

Well maybe Porsche knows something we don't. It is attractive from some angles but overall it doesn't work. I think it was designed by engineers and marketing men,not stylists. I'm sure they dictated the height in the rear and that the rear had to be a hatch to retain the 911 look.But then look at the Cayenne. It has outsold the 911 and it is sure no beauty either.I'm just thinking that the price they will be asking for this thing is outragous.I think 20,000 at over 120 grand a piece totally inflated.

Yes, but the Cayenne is about utility. A sedan, especially at this price, is about prestige. There are plenty of super performance sedans already. Why would someone buy an ugly one?

This car has been the longest wait I have ever experienced for a model to finally be released. Hope for all people on the waiting list for this car that it looks and performs perfectly. I will stick to the proven M5 until further notice :).

More ugly than the Cayenne, Porsche should stay to sportscar not suv og this thing.
