World Premier of the Carlsson CK63 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG with First Photos

Let me state for the record that I've long been a fan of the incredible work perpetually turned out by German tuning firm Carlsson, and their latest achievement – the CK63 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG – is another remarkably clear example of why. On the outside, the model is relatively subdued, with a new front and rear spoiler, grille insert and stainless steel Carlsson exhaust system hinting that this isn't a typical C63 AMG.

But where Carlsson's artistry truly lies is under the hood, for it is here that one is greeted with an enhanced 6.3-Liter powerplant producing 565 hp/415 kW and 685 Nm of torque. Translation: whereas a traditional Mercedes C63 AMG accelerates from 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, the Carlsson CK63 does so in a pavement-scorching 3.8 seconds. Furthermore, top speed rises to a more-than suitable 186 mph, electronically limited so as not to encourage reckless or overly hasty driving.
