i agree it looks really good in that color, it almost looks black, very good looking. The only thing about the TL i personally really dont like is the interior in person it looks a bit to much like the Honda Accord's not that the Accord's interior isnt nice it is, but for the class the TL is in it shouldnt look so close to thatof the Accord, maybe a more unique center console, or wood trim, or a bit more detailing or something to show a real quality difference between the 2

I think it is an improvement in the aesthetics.

One worry that I would have is paint prep. I the stock beak is plated somehow, then the paint may not adhere as well as it should and, being on the front of the vehicle, it will get pelted with stones over the miles.

I am pretty sure the customers who lease these painted cars will have a problem when it comes time for inspections...aftermarket work has to be put back to original look or they will charge you for it...Could just bring that particular dealership lots of headaches down the line

But if it's the dealer that is doing it, or sanctioned by the dealership, they'll have the corresponding documentation to back that up and not get pinged for it.

After looking at it some more it doesn't look that big as it use to.

Def better imo. I hope Honda tweeks it a bit to look better and YES it looks better in person. It is a very good Auto and would be a shame if sales were low due to awkward grill.

Honda should know better than to make the TL similar to its low end Civic with similar headlights and other traits.

Bimmer, I hope you are more intelligent than to classify an Acura owner as "poor" - or any other car. I have owned a "bimmer" and Acura and it was more a personal like than a "can't afford". Grow up and bring something productive to the posts

Looks much better. A painted grill piece would be pretty unique for Acura. I can't think of any other manufacturer that has anything like it. Everyone else just has cheap sh*t plastic in the grill.

Still ugly! I actually think it would look better in the reverse, keeping the ugly shield thing silver and making the ugly silver that surrounds the grill the body color. Or doing it all the body color. Either way this grill design is not the best and will probably be edited away in a year or two (one can only hope).

This is one of the few cars that needs an aftermarket bodykit badly.

The grill definately looks better, but it still doesn't make the overall appearance any better.

You guys are just hating because Acura is doing something bold and it's like culture shock. I went to the dealer and seen the TL and it has presence definately going to be one of the best looking cars on the road only done side is the small tires, but I am waiting for the SH-AWD model so that's not an issue for me. I have not driven one as yet though but it has presence.

I want to see the SH-AWD in action. The thing is though this car is ugly. I mean GM ugly.

Painted definately looks MUCH better. The all black one with the completely blacked out grill on page 4 looks like a Toyota Camry from the direct front...lol

Looks wayyyyy better. Acura should have done this from the begining. I was so disapointed when i saw the new tl at my local acura dealership,mainly due to the grill,but this is a huge improvement.

Its a better look but it still wouldn't be a 1st or 2nd choice car for me if I were looking in this segment. And since this an aftermarket job and the paint is on the front of thr car, you have to consider that that paint job may not completely stand up to the beating it will take over the years.
