Prius rated most fuel-efficient by EPA, Murcielago rated worst

According to the government’s 2009 Fuel-Economy Guide the 2009 Lamborghini Murcielago is the worst choice if you’re worried about spending a lot of green at the pump. According to the federal government the Murcielago, which gets 8/14 mpg (city/highway) has an annual fuel cost of $6,450.

Wow. This article is near the pinnacle of irrelevance. Edmunds needs to do better.

Who drives a Murcielago 15,000 miles a year? NO ONE.

I'd bet my downtrodden retirement account that the average Murcielago owner spends a fraction of the money a Prius owner spends on fuel in a year.

The USA isn't a planet. I see the school system must be getting even worse...

In my country, a 5 series does get 48 MPG, so actually, on this planet is where a 5 series can do that.

Yup. I'm a Brit living in the US and most yanks have never been out of their own state. They have the audacity to call the World Series the 'World Series' even though no other nation is involved (a good thing since the Dominican Republic would probably spank them) and the New York Giants are currently the 'World Champions of Football'. World Champs!

Soccer and F1 aren't real sports because the US are good at neither.

North Americans know big cars don't need big engines? That's the biggest pile of crap I've ever heard. Americans never get the small engine options! The base 3 series is a 328i, right? We get the 318i/d. US gets S550, we get S280, US gets A8 4.2, we get A8 2.8. America only gets the big engine options!

If I wanted a fuel efficient car, a Prius is not what I'd buy! I'd go straight to my BMW dealership to look at the 330d! That gets like 45 mpg and 0-60 in 6 seconds!
