Toyota Finds Market For Excess Tundra And Sequoia Inventories

Toyota Motor Sales  USA, Inc today announced plans to export North American-built Sequoia and Tundra vehicles to distributors in Latin America and the Middle East with an eye for satisfying customer demand in global markets and maintaining leaner North American inventory levels.

Shipments will commence in December 2008, marking the first time Sequoia
and Tundra vehicles have been exported from the United States.

I was in canada last week and saw a lot of tundras on the lot, don't see how they would sell since canadians usually like minivans or honda civics

Kpaxx "I was in Canada last week" I love how your visit to Canada gives you an insight to all of Canada. I was in Buffalo last week and holy shit Americans have way to many chicken wings. can't seem to get rid of em!!!

Most dealers in Canada have no stock of Tundras. There are very few out there at all. Almost no Crewmax or TRD packages left.

since it was just announced yesterday, that would be hard to do. Now a few months ago they said they would "look" for outlets, but had no deals.

They stated they would ship them to the middle east. Maybe at that point they were considering it and now they just confirmed. Look it up in the archive

You've gotta hand it to toyota, they can always find other markets for slow selling models. Can't say the same for the big 3 (er..2).
