Novitec Rosso 599 GTB based on the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano represents already the ultimate supercar but it seems that Novitec considered it slow and decided to improve its performances in order to leave you breathless. So what did they do?The V12 engine capable to deliver 620 hp was boosted with the help of twin compressor in order to deliver an impressive 808 hp (594 kW) and 823 Nm of torque.

Also a new sport exhaust system with a tailpipe diameter of 90 millimeters was added to deliver even better the “roar” of the engine. Connected to the F1-Superfast transmission the vehicle sprints from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.5 seconds, hits 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.7 seconds, 300 km/h (186 mph) in 25.5 seconds and has a top speed of 340 km/h (211 mph).

I love the subtle inhancement to the 599 by Novitec.

As a side note. Its funny how setup means so much to a chassis. They quote a 9.7 sec time for 0-124. The new ZR1 does 0-120 in 9.4 secs. I know there's a difference between 120 mph and 124 mph, but for 170hp's you would think there would be a bigger difference. Having said that, I don't pretend to imply that the ZR1 is anywhere near the 599 overall.

golfer the reason it isn't really faster to 124 is because it isn't getting full traction still, I'd be willing to bet NR 599 would destroy the ZR1 from 100-200 though.

You have a point with the traction, but so does the ZR1. One tester said that they could'nt speed shift even into third gear because the tires would break loose. I also agree that the Novitec would probably runaway from the ZR1 from 125-whatever. I guess what my ultimate point is factory spec cars, because they have a huge amount of R&D seem to be able to get much more of their performance to the road compared to a vehicle that's been "upgraded" by a tuning house.
