Who said sports cars couldn’t be fuel-efficient and fast at the same time. 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds is very impressive for a 100 percent electric-roadster and now Tesla is claiming that its Roadster can run the quarter mile in 12.7 seconds.

In the interest of saving fuel this car is unbeatable...in almost every respect. But how much driving pleasure can you get from a car that has a 1 speed transmission and no exhaust....it most likely sounds like its humming instead of "growling" like a nicely tuned quad pipe. This may be some people's idea of fun...but my conscience for global warming and its effects have not reached the level where I would pass over a petrol engined competitor with similar performance. Oh well, can't impede progress, if this is what things are coming to then if you can't beat 'em...join 'em.
