Mercury gives me the 4.6L V8 and a Full Size spare for Free in the deal.

I saw one yesterday ad with its grill it made me think that this is what the the Mercedes-Benz E class should have somewhat looked like.

Kanner's apparent bashing of Hyundai does not seem justified given Hyundai's ranking in the quality game over the last few years.

Hyundai is improving at an impressive pace. The Detroit 3 (and even the Japanese) should now consider them a very serious competitor.

I think it is very impressive how quickly this company moves, and how flexable they are.

The point is, people are calling Mercury's Grille ugly. It is a piece of injection molded plastic folks! Get over it. I won’t even mention the Hideous beak on the Acura TL.

Who cares if it is a discounted car. I win with the money I save, that is my point. I get 2 for one, and I don’t have to drive an econo-box and look like a miser in doing so. I still get 17” Wheels and long-range comfort. I get 5,000 Lb towing capacity as well.

Do I really want to go in Debt to buy a Hyundia, when I can have a V8 sedan for a lot less?

I'm not into the whole deficit spending idea, solely so I can impress people on the road with a hood ornament.

At a time when people have put their entire personal net worth into their car and homes, I don't think these are times to care about esthetics.

The economy is collapsing and people are losing their homes, but they still want still want to grasp onto the status symbol in their driveway, at least for a few more hours until the repo-man cometh.

The Genisis dashboard is very similar to Mercury's. I admit the Genisis dash is nicer, it lack wood, but it is nicer. The Genisis Fenders are a little more rounded, and have tighter tolerances, but the question is, do I want to pay double for a dash that is a little nicer, and fenders that are a little more rounded?

All these cars go to the boneyard after a 100K miles. The car that gives the most for the least amount of money is what appeals to my budget. getting from Point A to B with the Most utility is paramount.

I do however applaud the 8-speed auto. It will undobtedly give the V8 excellent economy. Although Ford Transmissions are extremly reliable, the 4-speed auto is behind the curve.
