2008 SEMA: Volkswagen Passat CC Gold Coast Edition
After the Super CC Performance Concept, Volkswagen brought another vehicle to the SEMA Show: the CC Gold Coast Edition. Based on the same Passat CC, the vehicle features a new tri-coat paint, a new front lip spoiler, new side sills, small but stylish rear trunk spoiler and a new set of 19-inch Lugano alloy wheels.

At the interior the vehicle comes with four ergonomically formed sport seats wrapped in luxurious leather a combination of Latte Macchiatto, Cornsilk with Bronze Piping on the seats with matching accents on the dash and door trim.

Whoever made fun of VW's image before should think again. Just because VW's got Audi it doesn't mean VW themselves can't make a proper entry-level luxury car that looks good.

Great car, but lame article.
Just to set things straight, the paint is custom, but the aero/ground-effects are straight out of the VW accessory catalog.
The brakes and suspension are revised, with lower height.
The article makes it sounds like that gorgeous interior is custom. In fact, they took the stock seat covers apart and re-stitched them with piping that matches the custom paint.
Otherwise the interior is bone stock.
I have a lot more photos of it than the article, and spent a long time talking to the VW folks about it.
It is so impressive it was drawing folks of all ages and demographics over. Its just an amazing car to see in person, and believe me, the competition for your eye-balls at SEMA is incomprehensible!
