Volkswagen won't bring Roadster concept to LA

As we look forward to the 2008 LA Auto Show Press Days next week, we are started to get a little disappointed. GM has already confirmed that it will no longer show the Cadillac CTS Coupe or the 2010 Buick LaCrosse in LA on Nov. 19th.

VW isn't running out of money anytime soon. It was worth more than Toyota a few weeks ago.
Last I saw, VW was shipping roughly 1 Million vehicles/month and making roughly 1 Billion dollars/month.
While most automakers are seeing 30% sales drops, VW is under 10% drop compared to a year ago.

Something about building high-value cars (VW resale values are the highest in the industry) that deliver good fuel mileage ... 2 features that GM (and others) missed.

I know Detroit Rock City is the home of the NAIAS, but....
