Nissan GT-R Spec-V coming this month

It was previously reported that we’ll get to see the Nissan GT-R Spec-V at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. Guess what? It wasn’t there. According to new reports, the GT-R Spec-V will most certainly be on hand at the 2008 NISMO Festival that starts on Nov. 30th.

The official release date is set for January 2009 with the first deliveries beginning in February 2009. Nissan will only make 10 units a month, thus we don’t expect many of them to make it to our side of the world. Pricing is estimated to start at...

Holy crap! it's going to cost more than twice the base model.

But it will still cost at least $200k less than its nearest competitor.

Ok...but you could look at it this way also...it's almost $80,000 more expensive that it's nearest competitor...the base GT-R. Considering the base GT-R has put most cars to pastueur...I don't expect that this car will raise the bar that much higher...because if it does...it really won't have any competitors.

Haha, You're right. Can you name anything that will perform as good as this one? I honestly cannot come up with a good example, since whatever I think of has already been beaten by the base GTR.

I have already put down for this V-Spec. I'm a proud owner of the 997 TT as my name shows but I feel the V-Spec will be a nice addition to my collection. My 3rd car is a E550 which my wife drives. She's never going to touch my 997 because she almost crashed from not being able to drive stick properly. The Nissan I might since it's much easier with the whole paddle-shift. Anyways! i'm happy i'll be getting this car. I'm 3rd on the waiting list. My goal is to obtain a Ferrari F430 Scuderia as well. F430 Scuderia, 997TT, and a GT-R V-Spec will be a nice collection.

wow ur so lucky! 997 is a respectable car as it is and you want a scuderia!?? that car is so beautiful. the gtr will be a good member of your collection.. porsche and ferrari the most exotic but the gtr will be different like how the nsx was for acura/honda. specialty cars. congrats!!!!

Their smart by making only 10 a month because most people won't pay this hefty price tag for a Nissan. Not many paid the price for a NSX so don't expect this to sell like hotcakes and it won't with the limited numbers. The LF-A WOULD have been more expensive than this and probably would have sold less than the NSX or GT-R.

I hope the V-Spec produces a better sound for a car of this type. Then again we can't expect European like growl from a V6 so it's okay. Anyways great performing car, very pricey for badge, but it will still be a cheap thrill for those Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Mercedes-McLaren & Pagani owners.
