First shots of the next Lexus LS? Part 1

This gross concept-car looks like it was unveiled in 1990. zero class. Yuck.

In a drive from New York to San Fransisco, two SUVs were tested. The new M-Class Diesel, and the Lexus RX 400h. The M-Class was 11% more fuel-efficient than the Lexus, because a diesel can ride the freeway on a huge swell of torque, and is much more efficient than a petrol equivilent.

The Lexus was better in city traffic, but with Mercedes hinting at a Hybrid Diesel engine in the near future, Toyota will have to play catch-up. The Europeans were right all along.

Release the LF-S masterpiece AS IS, and the kiss the 6-series and CLS, buh bye!

1 thing is for sure that this car as it is (CONCEPT) will not going to be the next LS.
As far as Toyota/Lexus are concerned they have hundreds of models and shapes they can give to a car,they r not dificient in any aspect about cars especially designs

I have plenty of reasons to say that this LF-S is not going to be the next LS:
1) It is the Flagship model of the most prestigious brand in Japan and also we can say the most prestigious,luxury,expensive,performing....etc sedan of Japan.
2) They r trying to make it better and better every year…and they have many plans for it to make it the leading car in luxury car market .
3) Also LS is competing and already going face to face with 7 series,S class,A8,S-Type…etc and it can’t afford to look like this.


Finally i have to say Lexus is a Winner and when new LS will come it will be a superb car better than any car in it's segment or class.

You seem to think that ‘MERCEDES-BENZE’ (which is actually spelt Mercedes Benz) and BMW are making better cars then Asian car makers. You are wrong. Mercedes, and BMW to a lesser extent are relying on their premium-brand status to sell their cars. Aside from the new CLS, and SLK, Mercedes have had terrible quality cars, especially interiors. BMW far excels Mercedes in the quality arena. As far as reliability is concerned, look at the latest JD Power Survey, and Asian cars - including Lexus itself - top the list, while prestigious European frequent the lower levels. I am a personal fan of Japanese (car) styling. It can be sexy, slick, and dangerous. Unfortunately, most of the time it isn't used to it's full potential. It is inevitable that Lexus will become the biggest-selling 'premium' brand in the world. Just look at Toyota. I think is the 3rd biggest selling, no? In 5-10 years it plans to be THE biggest. Ford and GM currently are 1 and 2 (as far as I am aware). They own around 10-20 brands each. Toyota has 3.
