Smart ForTwo Hermes Edition available for $48,500
Maybe not all of you folks noticed but 10 years passed since the launch of the Smart ForTwo. In order to celebrate this event the company decided to contact Hermes (a French high fashion house specializing in leather, lifestyle accessories and perfumery luxury goods, who also created the Bugatti Veyron FBG and the Citroen 2CV 6 Special).

Hermes accepted the challenge and created a vehicle we will remember! The special edition will be available in 9 colors: Ebony, Gold, Charcoal, Orange, H Red, Bright Red, Fuchsia Pink, Indigo, Sky and Lime. The most interesting part is, of course, at the interior where the company added its famous super-luxury leather and the Toile H (Canvas H) on the steering wheel, gear knob, door panels and dashboard. Also a new set of alloy wheels were added in order to improve the car looks.

What's the chance they sell this "special order" in the US? I think they would sell a bunch, especially in NYC. Hermes is quite cool.

There are lots of these Smarts in NYC and they've got quite a following.

I can understand the fun of this car, because it probably is a kick to drive, but people buying a Smart for mileage make me laugh. It gets pathetic mileage for its size. The MINI Cooper is far superior.
