Eye Candy: BMW 7 Series Tries on Hamann wheels sets

Hamann is teasing with these two sets of wheels fitted to the new BMW 7 Series. They are the only wheel sets currently in development. Body has not been changed, yet, but that might turn out differently when the full tuning package is released. Soon.

The 7 Series has undergone an evolution rather than a revolution, as per BMW Director of Design's wishes. Mr Chris Bangle reckons evolution is the way to go every second generation, and therefore only worked to improve on 2001 7er rather than completely radicalise it.

Engine menu for now is 730d (180kW, 540Nm), 740i (240kW, 450Nm), and 750i (300kW, 600Nm), the latter two also coming in LWB Li versions.

The kidney looks big, but in real life it is not that big, its wider than the 1 series but about the same hight (3 and 5 door), they got one at my local dealer they have had it for a couple of weeks. Looks really good.

wow, all it took for me to go from hating this car to loving it (this particular one at least) was a set of amazing wheels. wonder if it looks this good in person or if the kidneys really do overshadow the whole car and make it look hideous.

Amazing. The only problem with it is the bumper; if it didn't have that stupid long air dam it would be infinitely more attractive. Just imagine it with a stepped front fascia like the M cars.

Yeah, the AMG package on the CL puts the regular model to shame.

I would be surprised if BMW changed it before a full redesign, because it's one of this car's defining characteristics. I'm going to wait until I see it in person to really judge.

I agree, it definitely needs to be broken up. However, to me, its certainly not a deal breaker.
