Report: Chrysler and Chery small cars may never happen

As both companies continue to run out of money, Chrysler LLC and Chery Automobile Co. have put plans of producing small cars together on hold. Former CEO Tom LaSorda said last year that Chery will supply Chrysler with small cars to sell in the U.S. The two companies were scheduled to bring cars to Mexico later this year.

Chrysler couldnt make a good car even though Mercedes gave them a chassis to play with.

It was unlikely it was ever going to happen in the first place. Actually doing business with the Chinese companies is a lot different than planning to do business. They are a tough angle.
