The 7 Has A Bangle Butt And The New Porsche Panamera Has A _______ Butt?

When the BMW 7-Series launched a few years ago with a radical looking rear-end it was soon tabbed the 'Bangle Butt'.

Judging by the initial comments on our site and on others of the look of the rear of the Porsche Panamera, the butt it has seems to be even MORE polarizing.

So I'm sure there will be a new 'Bangle Butt' like name for it, that is birthed on the web very shortly.

It's not a bad looking car from first glance (I always wait to see it in person and on the road before I make final judgment) but that BUTT!

Any AutoSpies.com readers want to take a stab at naming it and be able to go down in history as the ONE who coined the phrase?

And to clarify we said THE one, not THAT one. ;)

Also, while we're on the subject, how do you feel about both the name Porsche (in retro lettering) and Panamera scripted across the back of the butt?

As I said, in person it could look a lot better and I'm looking forward to seeing and driving it soon.

These pics don't do it justice in my opinion.

My guess is they were going for that old 928 backend curvature.

I always loved the 928. (Risky Business, I guess) I owned an '84 928S. I just don't think that butt works on a luxury sedan. It makes the rear of the car by the B pillars look like the old lady's shoe. It's not swoopy like a CLS.

001, based on your obvious fervent admiration for BMWs, something tells me you secretly love the looks of this vehicle.

Someone had made mention on a previous Porsche Panamera article about it being just another limousine. I wholey agree. All they've done is taken a 911, stretched it, relocated the engine, and made it ugly.

It's no more capable than it's 4wd brethern, and it most certainly is not a looker by any stretch of the imagination.
