Its a bit bland on the outside. They've tried to make it look futuristic at the front, but if you look behind the gimmocks, its still a plain jane car. Even the headlight clusters look dated.

The interior is a bit tacky.

Good work Honda

but this car is completly different from it's predecessors.hope people will like it but it didn't remain a family,city car as it has to be but became a much more sportier,stylish,sleek than needed.

We wait and see how toyota and nissan competes again this beauty.

black,5 spd manual tranny civic.Move over Scion the boss is baaaaaaaaaaack.Does anyone if the SI version will be equiped with 2.0 engine?

The civic sells in such massive numbers, even with the current boring design. This new approach is technologically and stylistically invigorating and it is most definately a serious step into the future. Everyone can't be pleased, but just watch the sales records get broken. The new civics will be HOT, HOT, HOT!... like it or not, not, not! I'll take one of each, please!

Man, this thing is Ugly, and I mean Ugly, Ugly, Circus Freak Ugly............, What are the design at honda thing when they design this car. The Honda civic is from late 90s to early 2000.

Man I thought Hyndai Was Ugly....Now I see it All..even the ugliest hyndai is better looking then the the new civic.

There is No Way........this car going to beat Mazda,Nissan or Toyota, especially with new Scion TC/2007 redesign Camry.

The best Honda civic model is from 1999-2000. Honda has been going down hill since 2000, wonder what happen? The only two car that made the Honda company are the Honda/Acura 2005 TSX/TL.

People's tastes in cars are SO extremely different, that is why there are so many different designs on the market. The sales figures are what count regardless of what the opinions of extremists are. No matter what you may think of it, best-looking or ugliest, it's going to be a hit, and history will prove that to be true. Wait and see. As I've said before, this new Civic is going to be HOT, HOT, HOT, like it or not, not, not! Guaranteed. By the way, congratulations to AutoSpies for one of the best comprehensive articles on a new car ever written!

Ditto. On sedans, larger aftermarket wheels could make a great difference. Si model will come with 17's, standard, however.
