German tuner unveils Bmw M3 Leather Edition
Maybe not all of you folks heard about Zwickenpflug (even the name is hard to spell…). Well, Zwickenpflug is a German tuner who decided that the Bmw M3 needs a special edition and unveiled today its new M3 Leather Edition. The name say it all: the new vehicle features a custom leather interior with Alcantara insertion on the door panels, steering wheel, dashboard and the sport seats, as well as a new set of aluminium pedals.

Besides the interior, the tuner also upgraded the engine and with some ECU tweaking this was boosted to 445 hp (standard version develops 420 hp). Also the speed limiter was removed and according to the tuner the M3 has a top speed of 202 mph or 325 km/h.

I'm not an overkill leather fan like that, but I do think it does a very good job of making it look a lot more luxurious. One of my big complaints about the new 3-series was how cheap the plastic looked compared to the previous generation 3er. This takes it up a step.

Totally agree,
BMW interiors fail against their competition. I would be much more likely to buy a BMW if the interior wasn't so cheap looking/feeling.

Nice. Just the kind of thing that will do well in the current economic meltdown..

202MPH unlimited. Wow speed limiters really hide the best of the cars.

jeffy210: I agree with you. A luxury version and still no fog lights......mmm...But if they remove the speed governor , I am happy. I am 6.3 so yuo can not imagine me in a Murcielago....but in this beauty, for a fraction of the overall price of the Lambo, looks to me as an excellent deal. It is a great car.
