One of the best looking compact sedans on the market. It will take a little getting use to the new "face" but a great design. Mazda is on a roll and makes the designs on Honda and Toyota seem so last decade.

Mazda should make there cars safe first! They are functional little wagons now and these future cars are a totally new breed with little functionality in comparison. Safety and economy should be first then try to make it prettier without compromising functionality .

Then go buy a Volvo. Mazdas are for people who like driving and want pretty cars

If you want safety, then don`t drive like a maniac.
Mazda`s are just as safe as any other car.

What I am saying is that the current Mazda-3 is a great package, sporty and functional, just that it could improve it's rear passenger safety, that is why I never bought one. If you have to drive a small car wouldn't you want something safe for all your passengers?Children...It could be the difference of going to the hospital or the graveyard! That is why I went with the Civic, although I like the design of the Mazda -3 better, but this new design may appeal to some, although it wouldn't appeal to people that want to throw a dog in the back or value cargo hauling. Most current Mazda -3 owners would not buy this car because it lacks utility, although people that like sports cars may buy it.

The problem is usually referred to as "men in suits"
