The verdict: New Jaguar XK-STUD or DUD

The current XK8 looked good from the first pictures and just as good in real life, but grew tired looking fairly quickly. This car doesn't do much for me in the pictures, certainly not as exciting as the current car at the same juncture. From the rear and rear quarter shots it looks sporty and aggressive (although tail lights look like after market from the street racer crowd). The front looks too chunky, it lacks sleeknes and excitement. Maybe its the new Euro pedestrian safety requirements that give it the...uh...pedestrian styling.
Overall, to my eye, more dud than stud, perhaps it will look better in the flesh. The Aston it shares parts with is a stunner!

Its a dud - unless its sold at about $50K rather than $70-80K. It needs to compete with the Mercedes SLK and not the SL. However the new Jag is still better looking than the BMW 6 and Lexus SC.

That alot of money for a Jaguar, I would Not mind adding $30,000 more to buy the new 2006 Aston Martin Vantage.

This car is Drop-Dead beautiful! I love it! Beautiful styling inside and out. I would totally take this over a SL. Interior is one if the best i've seen. I don't personall see any type of resemblence to a Taurus, Hyundai, or Aston Martin. Please, Give it a rest!
