First Aston Martin Rapide photo emerges on the web
There is only one illustration available, but it’s claimed to be nothing but the real thing. Or so reports CAR Magazine UK, which made the representation of the forthcoming Aston Martin Rapide lately. The magazine says that the computer-produced sample comes directly from Aston and previews the concluding form of this super-ultra four-door coupe. They obviously have another rendition on hand but are reserving that for the January 2009 print copy of CAR. From what can be seen, it looks like that the Rapide will stay quite true to the concept model.

CAR observes the front end has been altered a bit with the concept’s quad air intakes being substituted by an upper and lower grill, and a more creased appearance line going down all throughout the length of the vehicle. The rear has allegedly changed a slightly as well, but cannot be viewed from the angle of the rendition. The publication is also asserting that the Rapide will be propelled by a large 6.0-liter V12 generating 500 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque, which should be sufficient to keep the large coupe move with agility.

Rapide is the so handsome. I like the CLS very much but the Rapide is my number one favorite "4-Door" coupe type car.

Can't compare a lowly Merc CLS with any Aston Martin.

Lowly Mercedes? You speak of the CLS as if it's some Lexus :P.

Why do people compare a lowly Nissan to a Porsche?

The difference isn't as drastic as you would think Kaner, quit watching YouTube videos. I've driven one before and have dyno'd one. Came out to a little over 500hp STOCK. Each 'hand built' engine outputs different numbers? :)

Here comes the naive folks! and deboost me!... DO IT!. I know what I saw so I stand behind it.

That looks awesome. Front end is DB9 with revised headligths and rear wide body/arches look like the discontineod Vanquish. Seems like they selected the best styling cues from their cars for the rapide.
Aston Martin proved again that they make arguably the most beautiful cars.

Too bad the Panamera is not even 1/10 as good looking.

Flip Navi....shudder!! Everything else screams perfection on this car. Still prefer the Quattroporte though, by a small margin.
