Car that I most hated - Honda Accord. There was NOTHING WRONG with this car, I bought it for my wife. She ended up hating it always wanting to drive my BMW. I think the biggest problem it had was the fact that is parked next to a BMW in the garage and as such was overshadowed in the "Fun to Drive" category.

WORST Car I have ever owned, 1994 Ford Escort GT. I only had this car for 6 months before Ford bought the thing back from me.

Thanksgiving was GREAT! No matter how much we find to complain about, the fact is NONE of us really have any right to complain as there are people in this world not as fortunate as us.

Good luck tomorrow, "Black Friday," I for one will not venture out to the malls.

Well this one is easy, My 2006 Cadillac CTS, what piece a crap. Many of you may recall my article entitled "My cadillac disaster", you can find it under my name. Well there is a part two coming soon.

I have continuing problems with the car, engine/emissions systems, the suspension system, the drivetrain, everything. The dahsboard is lit up with warning lights everytime I drive. It has gotten so bad that I do not even drive the car anymore, It just sits in the garage, while I drive my mom's bright red Honda Accord. (which is a nifty little efficient - well equipped car)

My Adice, stay far - far away from this car, including the new one. They are great looking on the outside, but the craftsmanship isnt there. the front bumper is one piece. Never again.

I have been trying to tell your fellow countrymen that the problem they have is they look at the Exterior of a vehicle and decide from that what the whole vehicle will be like.

Hence the Quantity of Chrome on most American Cars.
The Escalade exterior makes it look like it should cost $100k plus yet you open the door and you are transported into a Silverado Pickup interior (Might as well be)

I knew that the CTS would be the same, but so many fell for the Hype, it is this group of people that kept the NA 3 in business for so long. Every few years they launch something with more Gloss and Bling and people think it Looks better than an Audi or Accord so it must be more reliable or drive better or more efficient.

There is a reason why these companies have not been profitable for a long while so play it safe and take your money elsewhere, Emotional purchases are for the Baby Boomers who have disposable income hence the Challenger and other CRAP MOBILES comming out of detroit.

All in all, every car in this world is a mechanical based item. They will ALL breakdown regardless of purchase price, reliability ratings, or brand. The point is people by certain cars to exude their success or to be treated in a specific manner. For example the person that buys a KIA will get a level of service and quality relative to what they spent, much like a Merc, Audi or BMW client will get a little more because they spent a little (a lot) more than the owner of the KIA.

The one thing I know for sure is I've only met ONE person in history that doesn't HATE the Land Rover Discovery and have issues with them.

Are we talking about Discover 1 or Discovery 2? I am not sure about Disco 1 but I had two Discos 2 and had absolutely no issues with any of them. Land Rovers, in general, are only as good as the dealer that services them.

My mother had a 1991 Dodge Grand Caravan, fully loaded model with custom trim and interior. The day she drove it off the parking lot the brakes failed. Later on, the steering column cracked, the exhaust fell off, and it went through a couple transmissions. At 70k miles it burnt a quart of oil every two weeks, and she quickly got rid of it.

It was the third American-made car she'd owned, and the last. The first two were in the 70's, a Chevy Vega which overheated at least once a week, and a Buick which featured a permanent check-engine light. Both lasted around a year, each. How she squeezed almost 9 years out of her Dodge is beyond me. I'll just say, we were all afraid to get in it after it hit the 5 year mark.

Our 2006 Range Rover HSE is by far the BEST car we've ever owned. Any minor electrical quirks were all covered under warranty and I love the big heavy doors. I wouldn't settle for anything less. If taking your car into the shop once a year is that much of a hassle, take the bus. Or buy a Camry. I don't know which is worse.

Sounds like you just haven't owned very many cars, because LR is constantly in the very bottom portion of JD Power's CS... JUSTFYABLY.

My 1974 Vega has to be one of the worst. $3600 new. Engine died at 30k.

LOL my first car was a 1974 Vega! Ran for about 60K before I clipped a curb in the middle of an apex in corner. Rolled it not a piece of sheet metal was spared from the rolls.

I had a Range Rover 2006 vogue, truly the best suv on the plant, no problems...

During the early pollution control days - Datsun 260Z - used to vapor lock in the summer and stall as soon as you hit the gas at every red light. But it would always go enough to roll into the intersection - really scary!!

'00 Audi A6 4.2. Loved the car with lots of TLC.Engine jumped time at 65k causing 10k repair....ouch

Mine was a Lexus RX300 The electronics were possessed. Lexus finally bought it back under the lemon law after my attorney got involved.

Lexus corporate constantly denied that it was lemon even though it was in the shop more than on the road the first year. The only car to leave me on the side of the road dead... twice.

Not their finest moment.

Wow, it's tough to decide. We bought a Cadillac Catera that was a beautiful car until it got to 85,000 miles, then it fell apart, everything all at once. We had Merkur XR4Ti that was fun to drive, but a total piece. I had a Z28 that was also a clunker.

Worst car, by far, was a late 70's Subaru. This car self destructed at about 45K. The exhaust system literally fell apart (welds broke). There was a problem with the electrical system that nobody was able to fix. The last and worst was when we discovered that there were cracks between the intake and exhaust valves on all four cylinders. I did maintain this car and did never overheat the beast. It was just a horrible car

Chrysler Cirrus. IT cut off every 5 mintes. Had to pull it over to the side of the rd. Let it warm up for 5 minutes, them try again.

This happend to me too as well. I owned a 95 version. What was up with that any way???

The worse car, lemon P.O.S car was a 1984 Ford Cougar bought new. Had it into the dealership 32 times for various repairs before 5K miles. It was the last domestic car I have bought.

My 1976 Bronco was the best and worst vehicle I ever owned, while I was in high school I was ahead of the mechanics class in all areas because my Bronco would break down. I fixed everything on the vehicle myself except for a professional engine rebuild. I can't blame Ford for everything because the Bronco was pushed way beyond what it was designed for, EG: jumps,mud bogs,racing around on rough roads at high speeds... I was relieved when it burned to the ground, then when I bought a 1987 Toyota 4x4 truck and took it off road I missed the Bronco's off road ability, the Toy was such a princess in stock form in comparison to the Bronco.A love hate relationship.

Wow leading by far is GM, Ford and Chrysler vehicles as crap cars. Not surprising.

Worst car by far I've owned was a Honda Accord. What a shameful POS. The quality of any german car I owned was a million times better.

My crap Audi S4 Cabriolet. Eventually, after a big fight, they bought it back. But they made my life miserable for a year fighting me and ignoring me. Will NEVER buy an Audi/VW again.

Its a tie: My 1991 Dodge Caravan experienced severe transmission and electrical problems which the dealer service department attributed to water splashing up when driving in the rain. Their suggested solution was to not drive the vehicle in the rain. That was my last Chrysler product.

The term "fix it again, Tony" makes great sense to those who have ever owned a Fiat. My 1978 Spyder spent most of its life in the shop. The most amusing feature of the car was its dashboard clock that ran backwards. Less amusing was the body beginning to disintegrate into a pile of rust when it was two years old. Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful that Fiat no longer sells cars in the U.S.

Ah memories from when I was a child:

1985 Chevy Cavalier - blown heads at 30k
1989 Ford Tempo - constant electrical problems, left us stranded on the highway several times, crap at 30k
1994 Ford Taurus - 2nd tranny having problems at 60k

I have had 3 lemons and they were all very troublesome. 1960 Ford Falcon Rancero, 1971 BMW 2000, 1987 Sterling S. Most of them spent more time in the repair shop then on the road. The only one of them that was fun to drive was the BMW. The Sterling handled well but, except for the engine and transmission (Honda) the rest of the car just fell apart. Had lots of Volvos (good) VW (good) Lexus (great luxury and dependability, so so driving enjoyment)

As a young man I had been a Ford guy but had always longed for a Corvette. In 1973 I ordered and waited 6 months for my 1st GM car, a new red Vette. What a POS. The car arrived with paint so thin you could see the primer underneath it in several spots. On my way to the dealer to have the car repainted the rear end went out. On the way home from those repairs the air conditioning blew a pressure hose and the leaking freon killed the engine on the freeway. I sold the car less than a year later after so many trips to the dealer for repairs I lost count. I've pretty much been in Japanese cars since. The worst of these was a 2006 Mazda6 Grand Sport (Flint Mi., UAW built). Poor powertrain, cheap materials, no personality. The '07 Infiniti G37X that replaced it has been a superb automobile for 25k miles. I am on my 3rd Honda S2000 since they came out, fantastic car. I also own my 3rd 4Runner. All have been bullet proof.

There is no space here to list 'ALL' the problems I had with this piece of sh...t. To add insult to injury I didn't receive any positive response from the HQ of Toyota in Japan either except: "...Please check with our local representatives in Saudi...."

That company really socked! And still does!
