GM Asks FAA To Keep Jet Movements Confidential

General Motors Corp whose chief executive was blasted last week by US lawmakers for flying on a private jet to ask for public funds, has asked the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration to prevent public tracking of a jet it leases.

"We availed ourselves of the same option as others have," to have the plane removed from the FAA's tracking service, a GM spokesman, Greg Martin, said Thursday.

He declined to comment on why GM made the request or when the company expects the FAA to decide whether to grant it.

Get off the Unions already... its getting old.

There a ton more things that are hurting the Big3 than the unions.

Namely:

-Unstable oil prices
-Horrible markets
-Absurb diesel emissions
-Ridiculous CAFE standards

Unions have already been dealt with. Big3 plants are often times more efficient and much safer than the foreign implants factories. Take tours of Japanese vs Big3 plants.

Japanese - hand tools
Big3 - pull-down tools with torque control

Japanese - Workers treated like dogs
Big3 - Workers treated like people, safety = Job #1

Hard to see a lot of these things b/c so few people have access to supplier's opinions, etc.

Only the Americans are responsible for the slow downfall of America.
Not all Americans but a lot - Liberals tend to fare better but then they get too liberal and on my nerves, the conservatives piss me off even more.
