New Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X FQ-400: Limited Edition with 405HP

In what promises to be the fastest (and most expensive) EVO yet, the Lancer EVO X FQ-400 will pack a souped-up version of the standard car's 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with a new ECU and exhaust system to produce around 405HP and 400lb-ft of torque. That should be good enough to propel the EVO from standstill to 60mph (96 km/h) in around 3,5 - 3,7 sec. Comparatively, the 354HP EVO X FQ360 sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 4,1 sec.

Interesting, will the interior still be downscale though? 45K in British Pounds!? Doesn't that equate to anywhere from $65k to $90K in American Dollars?

You can never guess a new car's price by its European or British exchange rate. Cars are much cheaper here than they are there.

Yeah mate it definitely had me thinking twice too but in the end it is a Brilliant machine considering the fact that it is a sedan after all....

ugh yet again. Hey everyone look! It's the Mitsubishi EVO X Type R Racer Edition Rally Sport TK4Q w/ Premium Package and Toyo Appearance Upgrade.

How much longer can they make names for EVO's. I say just start calling them EVO X-a, EVO X-b, etc. I swear they need to do one of two things. Start making other cars in their lineup desirable to sell, or pull out of the US market. Instead of continuing to create more expensive low production vehicles. I'm all for the STi and EVO as power bargains. But at some point spending all this cash on what essentially is a Lancer Econo car at its roots just seems wasteful.

Why not put some development money into the Eclipse to make it more powerful. Heck why not offer a turbo package for it, or some kind of pumped up V6 or V8 even. So many opportunities to work on their other cars.

People shopping for this car couldn't really be bothered about the interior or value. They want a hardcore performance machine that is street-legal and that is exactly what this car is all about. And it's able to take on Ferraris and Porsches too.
