Top Gear Car of the Year 2008 award goes to VW Scirocco
The new Volkswagen Scirocco has been named ‘Car of the Year’ for 2008 by the road test team and journalists from Top Gear magazine. Judges were mainly impressed by the Adaptive Chassis Control (ACC) feature that lets the Scirocco alter its suspension, steering and throttle response.

Well done VW although I would well have gone with the new LP560-4....I'm not even sure whether they ever lined it up in the top list....

Although the Scirocco is super hot, I'm going steer clear from this temptress. Owning a Vdub is like hmmm... marrying the prom queen. Banging hot in the short term, but after the ring goes on... POW! 200 lbs bigger. I'll wait for the 2009/10 reliability ratings to come in before changing my stance.
