Looks way better than the current one with its wierd looking grill.

Decent photoshop, but the design itself will likely be a whole lot more cohesive than just stamping the MKS grille and headlamps onto the front of the MKX. I hope.

Pretty good looking crossover.

Lincoln has really come out swinging in the past few years. At first I was completely opposed to Ford letting go of Volvo... but if Lincoln can step up it's game like this, then maybe Ford really has a winner.

I don't generally like Ford, but gotta give credit where its due.

Thing is, these new Lincolns may be more pleasing to the eye, but they don't have much substance to back themselves up. They're still very clearly gussied-up Fords. That's what makes Cadillac the far superior brand at this point.

You are correct, Lincolns are still FWD, jazzed up Fords.

But at the same time, Lets pretend that you and I don't know jack-squat about cars. We say "I want a luxurious car that's rather efficient, well-built, and handles well in the snow (not RWD)". So we look at Acura or Lincoln or the Lexus ES. Being that we're not car people (in this example), we say "hey, I don't want to be too flashy, and I want support a domestic if the domestics have good cars (hell I live in the USA), and Ford makes a great product. I should spend my money where I get a beautiful car and help America".

I think Ford is doing a good job with NOT jumping into the super-lux market. If Ford wants to jump into that market, it's going to take time. You can't just go to from big boats, to decent cars, to beuatiful FWD cars to luxury (german-ish) cars overnight!!

I agree though... I'd rather have a Caddy!! I can't wait until GM releases the new STS (if it ever comes out). Based on the CTS, I expect & hope GM will do such a good redo on the STS.

S4Cabriofoxone,
As usual your comments are appreciated, even though I sometimes disagree with your viewpoints. I respect your viewpoints very much, more than most on the site.

Already a handsome/muscular shape, this new Lincoln front fascia goes a long way towards fixing the MKX's one serious aesthetic flaw...

A seriously boring face!

Why can't we have this next year?

Somewhat of an improvement I guess......that 'retro-sixties' treatment just didn't work (ahhh...remember the sixties when Lincoln's where handsome machines!). Now if they'd only do something with with what sits behind the grille! Looks about as exciting as a brick on wheels.
