WWJD? Would HE Be In Favor Of A Bailout? Detroit Church Prays For His Intercession.

WWJD? Would HE Be In Favor Of A Bailout? Detroit Church Prays For His Intercession.
In desperate times, people need to take desperate measures.

And a local church in Detroit has done just that.

"Local car dealerships donated three hybrid SUVs to be displayed during the service, one from each of the Big Three. A Ford Escape, Chevy Tahoe from GM and a Chrysler Aspen were parked just in front of the choir and behind the pulpit.

Ellis said he and other Detroit ministers would pray and fast until Congress voted on a bailout for Detroit's embattled automakers. He urged his congregation to do the same.

Other Detroit-area religious leaders -- including Christian, Muslim and Jewish leaders convened by Cardinal Adam Maida -- have urged Congress to approve an auto aid package."

We certainly feel for all the people who could be affected by this horrible situation but we can't help but ask the question...

Should people be REWARDED for bad decisions and bad behavior?

Not an easy answer here in this sobering situation.

What are YOUR thoughts?

He would help the people not a company.

Which is exactly what the church leaders are talking about.

The big three going under would hurt lots of the people that attend those congregations. It makes perfect sense that they would advocate whatever they believe would preserve jobs.

I'm not sure resorting to prayer extreme. People of faith pray every day for thinks as simple as a plate of food or a warm bed. Praying for the welfare of hundreds of thousands of people by securing their employer and praying for sound guidance for the leaders of those companies and the country... seems like a good idea to me.

I'm sorry, but it's almost pathetic to think that 1 in 10 jobs in the U.S. are related to the American auto industry. How the f*** did that happen? They must have all been in bed with each other, and in that case, all deserve to rot.
