Yes, continue to deboost me you f'ing idiots. The Wrangler, Xterra, Hummer, etc. dont compete in this class. This class consists of the following:

X3
EX35
Q5
GLK
LR2
XC60
RX350
RDX

LR2 is the class leader in off road capability. You're not going to crawl rocks with it. No sh*t. It has been named the best off roader in it's class by every comparison test. It has also been said that it has best compromise of off-road/on-road capability.

Ahhhaahahahahahaha, Best off-roader. These guys should do stand up. the only off-roading Q5 will see is when Muffy backs over the landscaping.

That's funny, but you are right. The Q5 will see more mall parking lots that dry river beds. But it will be one of the best in its class fur sure.

You guys don't get it. Euro "off-road" translates to English "SUV" or "AWD" ... it has nothing to do with driving through mud and over rocks, which we all agree this vehicle will not be doing unless attempting to escape the police and a DWI charge!

So, now that we're back on track, its probably better than an X3 or RX350 ... and remember that in Europe, maneuvering down narrow streets and around tight round-abouts is also an important feature; so steering response, a quick-ratio rack, and tight turning circle go a lot further than they do in American suburbia. Ditto for a suspension that soaks up cobble-stone street nastiness.

I think its a good choice for "nicest SUV-shaped vehicle".
But obviously not for what we call "off-roading" where it would be technically described as "sucking big-time"
