BMW's M division sales up more than 50%
While the rest of the automotive industry is in the dumps, BMW’S M GmbH continues to hold stable growth reporting sales of 22,340 vehicles worldwide as of November 2008. That’s an increase of over 50 percent when compared to last year’s result of 14,092.

BMW says that a major contribution for the success was the new BMW M3, which is now offered in three different body variations. The new 2008 BMW M3 almost sold twice as...

The M3 is an awesome car (my favorite being the coupe). I would still love to see a U.S. breakdown of M3 sales compared to C63 AMG and IS-F sales.

001, weren't you supposed to get us M3 vs IS-F sales numbers earlier this week after that article that claimed the IS-F outsold the M3 sedan, but offered no data to back up the claims?

yeah...as long as a 'firesale' is selling out all inventory at a price 20% above competitors like the IS-F.

I think is very normal, How many cheap cars have the capability to match the speed of a Lambo for just a fraction of the price of the Lambo or even Ferrari....M division is able to build great engineering cars at reasonable price.

Perhaps "Cheap Cars" have the speed of a Lambo but that is about it...

Fire sales maybe, but you still have to build the car for them to come. Lambo's are faster and now well balanced, but come on, not really a good comparison. The financing that has been available lately has only made up for the increase in the price of ownership since the E46.
