Acura diesel on hold for the moment due to commercial causes
It is intended by Honda to inaugurate a clean diesel to the US market next year. The latest 2.2 liter diesel unit is already offered in the European Honda Accord which is being sold in the US as the Acura TSX.

At Detroit Auto Show this year, Acura made public that the engine would be inaugurated next year but talks this fall showed the program had been postponed or discontinued because of technical difficulties. It was reported that Honda was experiencing trouble in passing emissions with its automatic transmission variant of the TSX.According to Honda’s America spokesman, Marie Sage, the program is currently in the “wait and see” status and the postponement is because of commercial, not technical, causes.

Forget the diesel tech for now...how about firing the design team and hiring people who are not blind to "Beautiful, Innovative Designs"...LMAO!!!

This sucks. This could have set Acura apart and taken a nice chunk of sales from the Jetta TDi. Also, this engine option can't be a lot more expensive or nobody would opt for it compared with a gas inline4, as the difference in economy wouldn't be as great as a V6
